Again, back in the car off up to Airlie Beach. Only 3 hours away, with a detour at Eungella National Park, so it wasnt too bad.

Eungella is famous for the resident platypus' who live in Broken River, did we see one...no! Had a look for one, but no luck, just a few turtles. After a short walk around the rainforest, taking in the amazing views from the mountain side, we had a picnic and set off for Airlie Beach.

On the way we stopped at a tourist information office just outside the town and without much discussion, booked onto a 2day/2night cruise round the Whitsunday Islands for Thursday. The Whitsunday Islands are infamous for the amazing 74 islands with beautiful beaches (even has squeeky sand it's that pure!) and perfect reefs for everyone to enjoy that little bit of paradise. Sounds good to us!

Set up camp just outside the town, going for a beer, before retiring to bed.
