Woke up with a banging headache this morning - not a good start to the day with a 7 hour drive up the Sarina Stretch ahead of us...it was so unbelievably boring!

Literally for 7 hours we drove in what seemed like an endless straight road, passing no towns, just abandoned cars, dead kangaroos and miles and miles of views! We had to keep on taking it in turns to drive so that we didnt fall asleep!

Frank finally got us to Sarina, but not wanting to give up, we drove another 40km to Mackay. It seemed like a complete hillbilly town so not wanting to see much of it and knackered out, we rented out a cabin, got some tea in, watched tele and fell asleep!
