This morning was shared a taxi to Kuang Si waterfall, one of the more famous sites around Luang Prabang. It is a many tiered waterfall tumbling into bright blue pools - which are pretty cold as Dave found out! Claire just had a little paddle playing with the fish swimming by her feet.
We then took a trail up the side to the second tier, but it started to rain and the limestone path was getting neck breakingly slippy. We also attempted to walk right to the top, but gave up after 30 minutes climb as we were knackered!
We got back and without any hesitation, crashed in one of the riverside cafes and drank shakes for the rest of the day. At sunset Dave wanted to do some more walking, up another massive hill so he could get a photo - not overly excited and thrilled about this suggestion, Claire slowly and a little begrudgingly walked up the 328 steps. At the top, there was a little pagoda, but there was definitely a nice view of Luang Prabang and the Mekong.
