It has been unbelievably beautiful here in San Francisco. The first few days of summer have brought blue skies, warm breezes, and sunburned shoulders all around. :)
Yesterday was the gay pride parade, and all of San Francisco went crazy!! There were huge crowds, music, dancing, and funky costumes everywhere. They blocked of the main street down-town and partied the night away?
Of course I was in the dance studio for most of the day (working behind the desk in exchange for classes) so I missed a lot of the festivities. But it is probably better that I stay off my feet anyway.
I've had a bit of a set-back with my knee and need to be extra careful. It was doing fine and feeling strong, then I went to the Japanese hot bathes/sauna on Tuesday night and woke up the next morning to incredible stiffness and swelling. Apparently my knee really didn't like the heat! I haven't been able to do much since. It has been almost a week of ice and ibuprofen, but still the swelling won't go down much. Very frustrating!!
I'm going to the PT tonight, and hope to be back in class again soon?
Oh well? What else can one do? I've been working hard and keeping busy. It just takes time?

There up to date dance news from around the country, and a great blog by Appollinaire Scherr discussing issues in the dance community. She is very open to comments, and has even posted a couple of mine in the discussion. Enjoy. :)
