Well, good morning Melbourne. Not a bad flight as these things go; seat folded right down to a bed, sort of, if you are thin and small. However, I did manage to get about 2 1/2 hours sleep out of a 3 1/2 hour flight. Do you want us to wake you for food? Definitely not. Sue stated that she didn’t sleep at all (not quite true) and said that the sausage roll for supper was nice and the muffin and tea for breakfast (about 2 hours after supper) was ok. Staff were excellent, no problems with wheelchair and when we were waiting for the wheelchair to arrive for Sue, the captain asked if the twins wanted to look in the cockpit. And with that they were gone! ‘What does this button do?’, ‘What does that switch operate?’ Certainly put a smile on their faces. The staff member helping with the wheelchair was a Disney fan, and by fan I do mean fanatic! He had been to Disney World twice, Disneyland 4 times and on 3 Disney Cruises.
I don’t like Sydney airport, and Melbourne is not much better. We really need to do better. We tried to get into the Qantas lounge as we still had our Perth boarding cards but unfortunately, this didn’t work twice so had to find a coffee shop and have some form of breakfast. At least I can say that the coffee was ok. And now we just sit and wait for the next 90 minutes before being able to board.
