Cindy Aserkoff's Travels
No travel mishaps just a long day. We arrived in Casablanca in the very early morning and was met at the airport by our guide mustafa. After a short ride through Casablanca we stopped at a cafe on the Mediterranean and enjoyed the national drink, mint tea and some Moroccan cookies. From there we visited, outside only, the second largest mosques, the square of Mohammed v. It was huge and very beautiful, understated. We also stopped by tourist rrplica of ricks cafe from the movie casablanca. We then drove to Rabat, the capital city, to our hotel. Tonight we have an orientation meeting followed by dinner at the hotel. We did grab a bite to eat and walked around a bit. First impression is that this a quiet city. French is more commonly spoken than English. Time to dust off that high school French.
