Our last day on the Gold Coast. I'm in the bad books with G, having missed the Singapore Grand Prix by a week, we arrive here to discover the town taken over by the GC 600 V8 super cars racing weekend - oh dear, he thinks it's a conspiracy. A very mellow day in the sunshine today, nice breeze from the sea to help out with the sun bathing - warm enough even in Spring. Everything happens early here, surfers, swimmers and walkers on the beach from sunrise, I guess to avoid the heat of the day! Our last day here before heading back to Sydney tomorrow - better check that flight time!

Our last day in Port Douglas kicked off with an early morning walk along four mile beach. Quite bizarre to see a beach rush hour with everybody out walking and exercising in the cooler morning air. After breakfast we have settled by the pool, an hour in the sunshine is enough so we are hiding in the shade having a mellow day.
