The clock springs forward two more hours and after a rigorous customs experience we picked up the car. The city suburbs look very British although it's Spring & a little odd to see the trees in beautiful blossom with crocus, snowdrops & daffodils in full bloom - in October! Our last day in Sydney until we return for a one night stay at the end of our tour. We've had a busy few days, beaches & bays, amazing views. My seven day average step count says it all, ticking over nicely at around 100k! We leave Sydney with fond memories of a great city. It was lovely to catch up with family & friends for quality time. A luxurious lie in this morning till 8am & then up and out to the Toronga Zoo, as it's our best chance of seeing Australian wildlife close up! First stop the Wild Ropes, a bit like Go Ape. A 2 hour drive out of the city to visit the stunning blue mountains - named because of the fragrance of Eucalyptus & the blue tinge from the trees! We took the 3 hour walk path, 1082 steps (counted them!) down to the escarpment, we visited the three sisters, a striking rock formation designated a world heritage site. Out & about in the city today, taking more time to visit the things we saw on our whistle stop arrival tour. Staying in Mosman with George's Brother, very handy for local knowledge. Our journey took around 20 minutes on a ferry, the best route to see the sites passing close by the opera house in to Circular Quay.
