Fun 2 day/night getaway to Aaron & Kristin's Wedding.

Friday, May 29 - Left Friday night after work-shower-packing. We drove the Cutlass Ciara for 3.5 hours to the West side of the state. We encountered 30 minutes of terrential downpour just past Lansing. Almost had to pull over.

Checked in at Roadway Inn and met up with the Morgan's & Bloom's over at the Holiday Inn (5 miles away) for drinks (10:30 to 12:30). Then back to our room for cheese and crackers plus a giant jacuzzi tub.

Saturday, May 30 - Wedding Day for the happy couple. We slept in, checked out and over to the Holiday Inn to meet the gang for breakfast. Afterwards we checked in to that hotel, napped, got beautified for the 1pm wedding at the church. It was so pretty. Afterwards, back to the hotel, changed into swimsuits and we 5 met down at the hottub (except Anne who napped). Back to our rooms to get ready for the limo to take us to the reception from 5:30 - 11:30pm. Very fun night. Chuck, Marcy and Cheryl went to the after-party also (at hotel across the street) til 1:30am.

Sunday, May 31 - Met the 2 couples in the restaurant for coffee. Marcy & Roy left right away, followed by Anne & Mike. Chuck and I drove over to a Bob Evans for a delicious breakfast then off to explore ships/boats.

We started with the SS Milwaukee Clipper tour. A vintage cruise ship for crossing Lake Michigan. Then we drove over to the LST 393 Ship which was in Dday and the Pacific for WW2. Both ships were restored/preserved to their original shape. Very fun climbing around them.

Drove home afterwards and pulled in the driveway about 5pm.
