Today our last day in London for a while. Our check out time was 11:00, but we made it out before then. Luckily, the hostel would store your bags for the rest of the day. A Beatles tour was going on, so we hopped on the tube and rode over to the Marylebone Station, the meeting place. The tour started at the station, because that was where the Beatles filmed "A Hard Day's Night". We also walked to where John Lennon lived for a while. The guide led us to where Ringo Star and Paul McCartney got married. One of my favorite parts of the tour was getting to see where Paul McCartney wrote "Yesterday" and "I Wanna Hold Your Hand". Our last stop was the best though... We visited Abbey Road. The tour ended late-ish, so we stopped at Presto to get some lunch. We used their wifi a little bit. When we finished eating, we left to take the tube to Regent's park, the largest park in London (part of the Olympic cycling will be there in 2012). It was Extremely pretty. This park was where the Queen's Rose Garden was, so we checked it out. Right as we stepped into the first area of roses, the fragrance hit us. It smelt absolutely amazing. There was tons of different roses of many unique colors. It was the perfect spot for pictures. Each bed of roses also had their own name, but not an actual flower name. They were short sayings, people, or places in London. It was fun to just look at each one. When we finished looking at almost everything in the rose gardens, we took the tube back to the hostel to pick up our bags. From there, we crossed the street to the market to get a quick dinner. We packed them up in our bags, and headed to King's Cross Station to get on the train to Paris. While checking in, we met two women from Wisconsin who just graduated from college. We talked to them and got tips for Italy, Turkey, and Greece. They gave us some good hostels and shops. The train we took to Paris was one that went 300 mph, under the water. We arrived in Paris at around 10:00 pm. It was very confusing unlike London, because everything was French instead of English. But most of the people could speak some English, and even if they did not they were still very friendly. After passing our hostel a few times, we found someone to show us where the Vintage Hostel was. We were looking at the confirmation email, and realized that people under 16 weren't aloud in the dorm rooms, which was what we had booked. So I had to stay undercover, and we made it to our room. This hostel's rooms were a THOUSAND times nicer then the last hostel's. There was only two original bunk beds this time, giving everyone more space. One of the girls sharing the room was from Scotland, and spoke English really prettily because of her accent. Then, we crashed.
