This morning, we accidentally missed our hostels breakfast. So we got ready for the day and stopped at the market across the street to get a mango and banana. There was a race going on down by the Thames River, so we decided to check it out. On the way, we gazed at Big Ben. We got to the finish line a little late; we missed Paula Radcliffe, an amazing runner. She holds the US woman's record tome for the marathon. As the awards finished, we walked to Hyde park for a run. No lockers were to be found, so we ran with our backpacks. The run was nice, the park was extremely pretty (just like the rest of London). When we finished the circuit around the park, we decided on Chinese for lunch. We took the tube to Piccadilly Circus, where we got off to go to Chinatown. We looked around a little for a place to eat. Our first choice was a pretty fancy restaurant, but it was very confusing, as in we weren't able to order. We left, and after awhile found a nice Chinese cafe. We both got two different types of curry. Amazingly good, but very spicy. After we finished lunch, we left Chinatown and walked to Leicester Square. There, we looked for cheap-ish musical tickets, but they were all sold out. From the square, we walked to Covent Gardens to check out the outdoor market. The sky went overcast, and it started pouring cold rain. We found an Apple store to shelter in. We had wifi there, the absolute best we've gotten in Europe yet, which isn't that hard to believe. We got a lot of researching done. We decided we had sent enough time there though, we were there for a couple of hours, so we packed up and left. Unfortunately, it was still pouring rain. It was not fun to walk through, especially with short sleeves. We took the tube to the station closest to our hostel. We stopped at Costa, a coffee shop, to order hot chocolate and get wifi. This wifi was also pretty good, but not as great as Apples'. We got to Skype our family back home, which was great. It was still raining though, unfortunately. We walked along the streets, toward our hostel. We stopped at a yummy smelling bakery and bought a brownie. London brownies taste WAAAYYY different then your average american brownie though... It had a slight fruity fig taste. We spent the rest of the night until 10:00ish with good wifi.

DreamTravelVacation How long are you in London? It's good to see the city by foot or via tube. You get to see a lot more. I went there in 2007 for 5 days. It was too short as I wasn't able to see everything. London was a stop over after going to Ireland and Scotland. I plan to go back to London one day to see more as well as rest of England.
Dad and Kylee loving your blog c&c! also love the pictures. please keep this up, we really appreciate it :) take care and talk to you guys soon.
Chris and CeAnn We were here 3 days.....you could live here and not have the time you need. It is like a few big cities in one, yet clean + we have felt very safe here.

Kevin & Joanie It was great seeing your shots of Iceland and London. Were your shots from Incerlik (sp?). Recognized the tower of London. Megan says you are sooo lucky to be in Europe. Sorry about the rain, but the blue above Big Ben was wonderful. Enjoy every experience, rainy or otherwise.
