Bucharest! It's not very nice... It's a bit smoggy and grey. The old town is alright but very touristy and overcrowded. Lots of rip-off restaurants. Parliament Building is however, a pretty stunning building. It's a very imposing building for sure built by Nicolae Caecasecu, Romania's communist dictator back in the 80s.

Saw bears and castles! Bears at the Liberty Bear Sanctuary that rescues European Brown Bears from captive conditions in monasteries, petrol stations etc. Also went to the Bran Castle. A castle of Romanian nobility that's been rebranded as Dracula's castle to rake in more tourists. A bit overcrowded and overrated in my opinion.

Been a hectic day. In summary...Romanian buses are very...sporadic. Spent most of today waiting around for a bus because of missing one by a couple minutes. Had to go via the industrial Transylvanian hell hole of Turda to reach the Turda Gorge - a spectacular gorge which I took a 4km walk to get to. Dreadful sleep last night. Maybe 4-5 hours. Tops. Even more frustrating that there wasn't any particular reason. But still, vent over Am in a coffee shop and it's not even 730 on a dreary Monday morning here in Cluj as an old grandad rants to his slightly sheepish family. All the museums are closed my clothes are drenched and the only things to do are outdoors. The rain is still beating down. Cluj is actually quite expensive. Not sure there's really much diffe...

Made it to Cluj! Am going to be writing more in my hand written journal than this, mainly doing it for the map! But anyways, Cluj is all very nice. Very clean. Nice temperature. All is good!
