Kota Kinabalu is a strange city. It's a very bland and boring place mostly notable for it's large rats.

I spent most of the afternoon talking to a Chemistry graduate from Portsmouth travelling around Southeast Asia, and napping. Then about 10/11 of us went to see the sunset and then dinner at Pizza Hut. It was nice to see everyone off, most people are heading back to London via Kuala Lumpur though some are travelling more around Malaysia, to Kinabalu National Park and Tioman Island.

After getting back to my hostel I went on an impromptu trip for tea in a nearby Chinese with a pair of Filipinos and the Chemist. We mostly gossiped about the massive fight that was happening in the hostel, over a man stealing money from a woman running a beauty pageant. They also complained about the militant police and xenophobia of Malaysia.

Have now officially left Malaysia and bored stiff in the international departures awaiting my flight to Singapore.
