It has been a stressful few days. Just as the family was getting together on Saturday night for a farewell dinner, I heard that Qantas had grounded its entire fleet because of proposed strike action by the unions. The court convened on Sunday but it was not until the early hours of Monday that they announced their decision. And there was I, wondering whether I would get to even start my holiday. But as I write this, I am at 38000 feet over Sumatra and so everything has turned out right on the day.
We will be landing in Singapore in about 45 minutes. We left Perth very late, but we have had a very fast flight and are actually due into Changi Airport earlier than scheduled!!
