A henge is a circle and if it is completed with stones, then it is a .... stone henge. The site is run by English Heritage and is very strictly controlled. You must only walked on the marked paths and you must never ever touch the stones! And it is swarming with tourists. Managing to get a photo of the henge without 1001 tourists is nigh on impos...
Oxford, UK Nov 24, 2011 I have and all too brief visit to Oxford. I do so want to see more! It is wonderful. I only had an hour, but during that time I was able to get a glimpse of about 6 of the colleges, to visit an exhibition at the Bodleian, and to wander briefly in the Covered Market that was moved to Turl street in 1772 when it outgrew it's site on Carfax. In the Bodlian exhibition, I saw one of the surviving copies of Magna Carta, two Jane Austed manuscripts and Mary Shelley'...
