Hey everyone!

Just thought I'd kep you posted with the trip. We've arrived in Koh Samui which is a beautiful island just off the East coast of Thailand. We have only been here a day so far so pretty much just chillin out on the beach is as much as we have managed and even that is pretty difficult because it's so damn hot. We did get to see an amazing caberet last night which I just know Debs would have loved! I have put some of the pictures on the album page and by the way they are ALL men! Some a little easier to tell than others granted.

It's a little different over here to where we have been so far, a little more westernised with Burger Kings and MacDonalds everywhere but they have some pretty amazing clubs here which is all good and some amazing sites that we are going to have a look at tomorrow like the Big Bhudda.

I think the last time I left a message on here we were in Phuket Town, its amazing thinking of how far we have got in such a small time, but anyway. It's definately a place I will remember for a couple of things. The first thing which was odd to say the least was a small bar next to our hotel which we noticed through the door was playing the football. Steve and I being quite unasuming people went in to have a drink and watch the game. Little did we know that by being the only people in the place this was no excuse for the show not to continue. Once we sat down with our drinks infront of the screen around 40 'girls?' walked past us and onto the stage where they proceeded to line up whilst the compare sang a song in Thai. We think the song lasted around 3-4 minutes but honestly time stopped it was that uncomfortable! After the song they all went off the stage and back outside to sit on their mopeds where each one took i in turns to get on the stage and do kareoke for us. Fortunately the screen was to the side of the stage so we weren't interupted to badly apart from every half hour when all the girls would return to the stage to do a rehearsed dance. We noticed later that you were meant to pick a girl after her vocal showcase and she would be issued with a sash thing which the group of blokes behind us had no problem in doing throughout the night, often having 3 or 4 at a time, I hope they can tell which is which!

Due to the sheer embarrassment we decided to get some food and watch the game elsewhere so we ended up in this really nice restaurant. Now i'm sure everyone knows about the 'Lucky Lucky' men in the toilets in England but this was another level! I went to the toilet and whilst at the urinal the man in the loo decided to put a hot towel on the back of my neck, wipe my face like I was a child and give me a massage.I don't want to sound ungrateful however the phrase 'I can't go when your looking' comes to mind and then some! Anyway he wasn't finished yet! While I washed my hands the bloke decided to see how many of my bones he could crack back into place so with soap all over my hands he decided to spin my head round and crack my neck and then twist me round his knee to crack my back! All this for 20 Baht which is only like 40p, unbelievable!

So from Phuket we went back to Phi Phi Island WITH my mobile and stayed for a night. Following that we went to Ko Lanta which is a massive island but with nothing to do so lazing around again was all we managed. We only stayed for a couple of nights and moved on again to Krabi. We thought that it would be a good idea to take in the sights here so we headed for the Tiger Temple. Little did we know that it required 1270 steps to the top of a mountain past monkeys but hey ho it was simply a breathtaking view at the top and we timed it just right to get there for the sunset.

In Krabi we visited Ao Nang and Railay Beach which were both great places to relax and have a beer in some cool treehouse bars or in the sun on the beach. We also went to a National Park where we trekked through a rainforest and had a dip in a few waterfalls which is all very nice. Oh and we didn't see one snake thank god!

So thats a little taster of what we have been up to so far. Check out the photos if you can I know they aren't in order or names but I haven't got the patience as these computers are SO slow but I will sort them when I'm home.
