Hello again all,

Dalat is weird.

After another horrible bus journey we were warmly greeted by the son of a family run hotel,just as well because it's cold here (not as cold as it is back home hey?!)

Dalat resembles something of a quiet Swiss Ski town that had aspirations of being the next big thing in the late 70's but after 10/15 years,the building of an artificial lake with Swan shaped boats (yes,like Alton Towers),an elusive 'love valley',a flower theme park with bored-looking horses,empty yet grand hotels and a marketing plan,designed
To target honeymooners and it just didn't work out...but they're still trying...a bit.

Picture-esque/different as it was there just wasn't much to do there. The 'Crazy House' was quite good - a local Architects attempt at a Lewis Carroll meets Gaudi themed hotel/house (not sure?)but shame it was unfinished and began almost 40yrs ago.

Nice place just wasn't...?

Let me sum it up: It was like after really looking forward to a hot,sweet dessert on a cold night,something like a banana flambé crepe - but when you recieve the order; no crepe.Just the banana and been told that there was actually never a pancake included in the first place.

Ps.that actually happened.no joke.
