hey guys, just thought i'd let you know that i've finished in bolivia (fantastic place!!) and am now in peru. just been to a really pretty little city called arequipa with great food and even better wine. in arequipa dee and me did a spot of white water rafting where there was ment to be a grade 4 rapid!! not sure about the grade 4 part but it was still a hell of a lot of fun. after the rafting we went on a 3 day 2 night trek of colca canyon. the trek was fantastic, if not a bit hard!! amazing scenery and a chance to spot the second biggest bird in the world... the condor!! we had a great group as well. 2 lads from cork so dee felt right at home. one of them, donal, had the thickest cork acent so we were all in stiches just listening to him speak!! the last day we got to go condor spotting at 'cruz del condor' after about half an hour and only seeing 2 (could have been crows seeing how far they were away!!) condors we all thoght that our luck was out when 4 condors flew about 2 meters over our heads and stayed around for a while. we even got to see an eagle but this looked tiny in comparison to the condors. anyway it was a great trip even if my legs are in bits!! just arrived in cusco now and will be doing the inca trail on the 20th so another 4 day trek and very sore legs to look forward too!! cheers all. speak soon. christopher
