As a little treat the 4some decided to get a few more stamps in the passport and headed off to Montevideo, Uruguay. Bags packed we went down to the port for a 1 hour ferry crossing. Being a calm day the crossing itself was smooth and after a 3 hour bus journey we were in the capital! At first glance it was lot like BA. We jumped in a taxi and set off for our hostel. After checking in went for some lunch. The weather was more than cloudy but we headed down to a little square in search for an obscene steak (as the lonely P puts it). As we arrived to the square it must have been some sort of graduation day, as everyone was throwing flour and spraying beer at each other. Messy. We tucked into lunch before having a big wonder around the old town as it´s known. After that we went back to the hostel, chilled and as ever headed out in the evening for a nice meal! Uruguay seemed easy to adapt to!
On the Friday we were up mid morning and headed out. If the weather had been good this place would hae been awesome as the beach looked fantastic. However rain was coming down so after we had brunch, we had a look around town. A little bit of shopping was done before we found Uruguay´s equivilant to Hollywood Bowl. In we went and for about a pound a game we were set. This is not the flashiest bowling alley we have ever graced. The pins were on string and the wooden alley had more than a few ruts in it. Pick a rut and hit your target! Throw in an Amstrad computer to keep score that T-Rex himself did his homework on and we´ll put it down as an experience. After an epic game that didn´t encourage a second we headed back to the hostel. That evening we went for a very nice meal and a couple of sprites. Very pleasant.
On the Saturday we were up a little earlier for check out. We left our bags and had a wonder around for breakfast. We took in the sights and decided to go down to the beach. Not Uruguay´s finest moment as we had to play hop scotch over the dog s*** to get down to the sea which wasn´t nice. Once there realised we should have read a map as we spent about 40 minutes walking alongside a port looking at containers. Having exhausted ourselves (i.e. it was a little chilly) we turned off back into town for one final mince. We´ll take the postcards word on the beach. We had to head back to the hostel to grab our stuff. Uruguay was only a brief trip and if the weather had been nice this place would have been great. A summer must but in winter maybe not so. We were glad we had seen it and if we ever get the chance to come back we´ll make sure it´s hot! After we left the hostel and our bus ride we got back on the ferry. Its safe to say the sea was a little choppy. Withing minutes of setting off you´d be forgiven if you thought you were in a scene from the Poseidon Adventure. The boat was rocking big time and it seemed everyone wanted to get involved in being sick. It was almost as though it was a team sport and everyone wanted to be a team player. It was bloody hideous. None of us 4 blew it for England, however apart from Chris and one other chap, everyone on the ferry was sporting a moist kleenex on the brow. It´s safe to say there wasn´t many sailers amongst us! Once the Titanic docked everbody stumbled off back into Buenos Aires! Time for one last stab in Argentina´s capital.

Saiful Brazilians have much greater pnrihascug power, and they don't worry so much about spending when they're on vacation, one source told Dic3a1rio Catarinense. Punta is the destination of choice for Brazilians in the summer months, but Montevideo is now seeing the greatest influx the rest of the year, a trend we first spotted last Augustc2a0when MVD nudged PDE.
