Hey everyone we're now in Melbourne, home of Neighbours! Yes and we have been sad enough to visit Ramsey street - actually called Pin Oak Court! The security guard wasn't so impressed with us driving around taking photos!

We enjoyed the rest of our stay in Sydney especially Saturday as we had beautiful sunshine! Visited the botanic gardens, went to the Rocks area and saw the markets and said goodbye to Richard. We stayed for one night in the same road as Russell Crowe but we didn't drop in for breakfast! In the botanic gardens, saw incredible sight of loads and loads of fruit bats dangling from the trees, looking like giant leaves.

Visited Hillsongs in the city on Sunday which was good. Great worship and a funny visiting speaker from Brisbane. Got on the road out of Sydney and heading down the east coast.

Enjoyed our coastal drive to Melbourne. Stopped off for 3 nights in Kiama, Narooma and Lakes Entrance - ok you won't have heard of any of those! All nice coastal towns. Nice chinese restaurant in Narooma! Particularly enjoyed our first encounter with kangaroos in the wild at Pebbly Beach. Even got to stroke them! Will have photos as soon as we can upload them. Amazing to see them hopping around right by the beach! Saw dolphins in a couple of places but most playful in beautiful Eden - fab place with a great whaling museum. Sadly no whale sightings but we're still hopeful! Understand that whales have recently been spotted in Sydney - obviously hiding from us!!

Now staying with David and Wendy Henry in Melbourne. David is another MAF contact! Enjoying great hospitality including a fab roast dinner not long after we'd arrived. So nice to enjoy home cooking after weeks of eating out. Good for our waistlines too!

Today have visited Ramsey Street and then driven up into the Dandenong Mountains - beautiful temperate rainforest and view over whole of Melbourne - one big city!! Just a short drive from the Henry household we saw some kangaroos grazing in a valley and on the hillsides. These ones were a little less confident but it was fun to see them hopping down the hills!

Tomorrow we head into the city to see the sights. Better go as another home cooked meal on the way!!!!!!
