Okay Dokay,

All the way back up the coast to the sunny seaside town of Puerto Madryn. When you read in the guidebook that you can see whales off the coast of Puerto Madryn you think that your going to need a boat to see them.. not so. On our first afternoon we thought we´d take a quick wonder along the beach... WHALES! Just off the coast spouting about being all whalely and flamingoes wading about in the shallows all long legged and pink in the afternoon sun.. woohoo. But it gets better. A quick drive out towards the peninsular, which is also a wildlife sanctury gave us a sight which i did not think possible. About 5 meters (no more than that... maybe slightly less) off the beach were loads of WHALES. They where just chilling out sun bathing, sticking there fins and tails in the air and blowing puffs of water into the air, making whaley noises. Yet another brilliant lunch spot!

(We also saw a dead whale washed up on the beach a bit further down the coast which was sad but also very intriguing.. we all had to curb the urge to poke it with a stick).
