Thursday evening, we arrived in Plitvice, Croatia. We stayed at a camping resort that had these cute little two person cabins. That night, we had a BBQ with Croatian sausage and salads. It was a really fun night, and a nice change of pace from the crazy partying we had been doing.
The next morning, we headed to Plitvice Lakes National Park. It was one of the most beautiful places I have every seen. The park has something like 17 lakes with walking trails all around them. Walking through the park was amazing, there was a waterfall around every corner - each one even more impressive than the last. It was hard to take it all in at times because it didn't even seem real. ( I don't think the pictures will do it justice).
The whole visit was great, except that the group of us got lost in the park grounds while trying to find the tour bus!
That afternoon, we made our way to Split. We had one last night together; it's amazing how close you can become to fellow travelers in a short period of time.
Saturday morning, I headed to the port in Split and started my Croatian island cruising trip with my friend Christine. So far the trip has been amazing. My days are spent swimming in the sea, relaxing on the ship deck and visiting beautiful islands. I could get used to this lifestyle!
