Hello! Our day in Kyoto was off to a great start, with full bellies and the sun shining we headed off on our self-made city tour. The first stop was the bamboo forest via the train station which was an iconic building in itself! With 12 floors, government buildings, a hotel and shopping mall, it was a bit more than just a train station! It was also very modern in its architecture. Hello! We are in Kyoto! We were up early and on the ferry back to the mainland yesterday, grabbing a coffee on the way. After a short 10 minute journey we managed to get on the train to Osaka and then switched to continue to Kyoto. All in all it took about 3 hours so wasn't so bad.
