Enjoying the Chilean cuisine so much, we signed up for a cooking class to learn a thing or two. Ines, our culinary guide for the day met us at a cafe in the Sotomayer Square. Our first task was to procure the ingredients necessary so we hopped on city bus and made our way to the market. Heaping piles of vegetables, spices, nuts, olives, meats and seafood tempted us in every aisle.
We spent the greater part of a day preparing the Chilean classics, pebre, empanadas de pino, pastel de choclo, frutas con miel de palma, and last but not least, pisco sours. We can't wait to have a Chile themed party!
The Naval Museum was right by our cooking class so we popped in for a brief visit. We were again very impressed by this museum!
Still full from our late lunch, we hit up World Emporium La Rosa to have ice cream for dinner. We could t resist one of the top 25 ice cream parlors in the world!
