Got woken up at 6am the next morning with James rushing us to pack up have breakfast and get out of camp and onto the road.. Think eveyone was so dazed that most people missed breakfast, and just managed to pack up tents to get out on time.
Drove back to Nakuru to shop at market for our dinner that night.. Ended up getting there too early. so woke up early for nothing... Everyone was slagging James off, but was his first Tour so wasn't clued up with everything... Sarah, a crazy Canadian Skateboarder, Will and I spent 500 Kenyan Shillings, around $10US to cook for 17 people...
Nakuru was pretty grim town, usual crap shops, selling shoes, secon had books, crap technology, photcopying and other stuff you'd never want...Africa is so behind times.... Also lots of people trying to sell us stuff and kids grabbing us... I got mobbed again...1 kid isn't that strong, but when you have 5 hanging onto you, its pretty tough to move on...
Drove further north to Eldoret where we camped for the night..Got there in 6 hours which was a surprise.. thought it would take longer.. Was amazed to find an amazing camp ground with swimming pool... We were all well chuffed, and spent the afternoon lazing in the pool and drinking Tusker Beers... Not quite the Africa I was expecting but still good fun..
Sarah and I rustled up at vegetarian Curry in the evening, with Will helping out... Went down really well.. I again stuffed my face... Had a few more beers and had a big poker game... before heading off to sleep for the night.
Two crazy Kiwi Boys, Johnny and Shannon stayed up to the wee hours, with the owner smoking joints, and chewing the fat with the owner who was apparent pointing to one of his wives and commenting on how her breast were growing... Everyone seems to have so many dogs here... Here there were about 20 who all slept on the bar!!! Strange!!
