We had a good flight to Lima and got off to freezing cold weather! A big change from the UK and New York! The taxi took ages, traffic was manic even at 8.30 at night! Stayed at cirque hostel, really nice and the owner Maria was so helpful and lovely. Had a dinner at a place close by, then had an early bed. The next day we took it easy and went for a walk to Kennedy park. It was so freezing cold! We ended up getting on a bus tour around town which also took us to a fantastic museum where we learnt a lot about the inca culture. Their collection was really impressive and in great condition. It was really interesting learning about their culture so many years ago including human sacrifices, skull dis-morphing and mummification. We walked around town for a while and I bought some more jeans- it's freezing here!!!! Had dinner at a Peruvian restaurant was alright. Went to bed fairly early as had to be up at 5.30 for the bus to paracas.
