The next morning we got up, had the yummy breakfast and hired a private at to drive the 150km (or something like that) journey to Hoi An. It takes a long time to travel that distance here with the bad roads and zillions of motorbikes! After the train ride which took a fair bit longer than expected (3.5 hours instead of 2.5 hours) we got a taxi to our hotel in Hue. A really nice hotel, probably our best so far! The upgraded us to a family room (massive) with a balcony, even had our own computer! Said we could have had a honeymoon gift or room upgrade- we went with the upgrade! Danang is a beach side town in Vietnam, it's deffo up and coming, lots of construction and new resorts being built. Got a taxi from the airport to our hotel, called Mango Hotel (only $20 a night!) pretty nice room, they had made a love heart in rose petals on the bed, petals in the sink and fresh fruit with a note for us to enjoy our marriage. The next day we set off for a 2 night boat trip around Ha Long Bay. Ha long bay is a beautiful bay with over 2000 islands that jut out steeply from the water. A very beautiful place, and of course full of tourists! Everyone buys package to go on a wooden boat called a 'junk' (and yes some of them really are), some are just day trips and others are overnight boats with bedrooms on board. After Sa Pa we had the day in Hanoi again, did a bit of sight seeing. Went to the mausoleum and said hello to Ho Chi Mihn, the queue was massive! They rush you through very quickly though. We took at cyclo (man on a bike with the carriage in front) there, it was pretty crazy! A nice way to see the sights though but just a bit edgy with the crazy traffic around us.
