Fraser Island is the worlds largest sand island with an abundance of rainforest, streams and fresh water lakes (like lake Mackenzie in the picture) surrounded by more silica sand which I brushed my teeth with again. To get around the island we were driven in a 4x4 bus as there are no hard roads only sand roads. It was like riding a roller coaster.
