So I'm leaving New South Wales and going north into Queensland, hoping for better weather! In doing so my watch went back an hour as Queensland doesn't have daylight savings.
Got to the hostel, dumped my stuff and got a few things from the supermarket. On the way back I treated myself to a coffee and a muffin before strolling along the Gold Coast. It's a gorgeous long beach with sky scrapers slap bang on the side of it. Seams serial and reminded me of that scene in Inception. All very expensive though - One day!
I got back, successfully completed a load of laundry and cooked myself a late lunch before catching a sunset boat ride around the canals here. It was nice to casually check out some celebrities houses and watch the sun go down. Started the trip with an ice cold beer in hand, and finished with a fantastic plate of fish and chips! Possibly the best I've ever had! Whether that's because the ones in Wales are crap now or because I've been craving something tasting of home for a month, I don't know!
I then grabbed a crisp can of coke and sipped it as I strolled around Surfers Festival. It had loads of stalls and a really good band was on stage, so I stayed and watched for a while. Really was an epic day and wasn't expecting to enjoy Surfers as much, but it has really surprised me!
