Last night I really didn't sleep well, seamed to be woken up by every little noise. Every little noise except my alarm that is! Ended up having to skip plans for a pancake breakfast and running for my bus! Thank god I was packed already.
Short bus up the coast, still chasing the sun. Got to Brisbane and did the normal drill of checking in, finding a supermarket to stock up for the time I'm here and went out to explore!
I decided to check out a travel agents to change a few plans along the coast. I was planning on staying close to Fraser and Whitsunday islands and doing day tours to each island when I'm there. However, since talking to people, I've found out its better to do a 2 day tour with a night included if you can afford it. So I've booked a day tour to Fraser Island as I don't have long there, and booked a 2 day one night sailing tour of Whitsunday. I'm really excited and although its expensive I know my parents would persuade me to do it, you only live once!
Once I left the travel agents it really started raining! Australian style! They don't have the term 'light drizzle' in the Aussie vocabulary! I decided to avoid the rain by going shopping for new headphones to replace my lost ones. Then I walked back through Brisbane to the hostel. It's a really nice city Brisbane, not too big and not to small. But I can imagine the weather in the summer being unbearable.
I'm the hostel I had my first taste of chicken for a while as I cooked myself another rice stir fry but this time with some meat!
After food I went for a wonder around the city looking for a cinema with a guy from my room. Nothing really took my fancy so decided to give it a miss. Went back and read my book in bed!
