Look up 'paradise' in the dictionary and all you'll see is a picture of Whitehaven Beach. It was the best view I've seen in Australia! Perfect white sand, crisp blue water. Just like the postcard! I was expecting the clouds to spoil the view but they didn't, they even seamed to add to the drama. Such an amazing place.
The day started off with a walk to the boat, we all met up and boarded and before we new it we were out to sea! It took a while for my sea legs to kick in, but I was reassured by a 2 foot high wire fence. It was just the right height to clip your knees and put you into a good tumble as you fell over the side. Don't know why it was there really.
We had a nice comfortable sail to the island which took an hour or so and was nice to get a hands on experience of sailing.
When we arrived at the island we climbed through the forest to the view point which looked over the Whitehaven beach! Was amazing! We then decided to go one better and spend some time on the beach chilling out and exploring! Was awesome!
We then got back on the boat and sailed to our rest spot by a tropical island. Feet over the edge, sun on my back, and most importantly, food being cooked for me!
We then enjoyed the sunset before sleeping on deck under the stars! There was even a moonset which was a very new experience for all of us!
