Three days in a Chinese nutshell...DAY 1Wednesday the 24th of August 2011, 10:30am. The Matildas were... Suspended high above the ground in a crowded qantas jet... Our break... short, however necessary.At the moment the Matildas are between two major tournaments. We have had the World Cup in the month just gone and the Olympic qualifying tournament commencing in a weeks time. Back to back tournaments... I suppose the prospect of it all could seem quite daunting- but it's important we concentrate on the doing part and not the what if...If anything you could say we have had ideal preparation... our warm up games have been up ...

YES!!! TONIGHT WE QUALIFIED for the 2011 FIFA WOMENS WORLD CUP!!! THANKS TO GILLY'S cool, calm and collected finish. Full credit to everybody, players, staff and supporters. It was a hard fought match. We counter-acted their game with ours- complete and utter brute strength:-) surely there will be more technical lingo thrown about in team meeting's, but ultimately we disrupted their style of play with ours! job well done! The feeling we all experienced today.....
