Day 9 Got picked up at 9.15 for a visit to a local Cheetah Rehabilitation Centre where they care for disadvantaged cheetahs, servals and other wild cats. The centre also undertakes many breeding programmes where young cubs are looked after and released into the wild in an attempt to increase the wild cat population which is threatened by human occupation on land and poaching. Day 8 Got picked up for a mini safari around the wetland park in search of more wildlife which was so much greener with lushes vegetation compared to the park we went to yesterday - we were the only two in the game viewer so it felt like the whole experience was a private tour. Day 7 An early start today, thought this travelling business was supposed to be relaxing! Quite a chilly morning so we were wrapped up in blankets on the Game Viewer 4x4 while we made our way to Hluhluwe Imfolozi National Park - home to the Big 5! Arrived in South Africa late afternoon after a rather turbulent flight - much to Curt's delight! And stayed at a Premier Inn style hotel for the night (a bit of a let down compared to our Dubai hotels!!) ready to get picked up in the morning for our 4 night Safari :).
