My last day in England was wonderful. After an early start Katelyn and I were quickly split from the other pair and ventured off into the city. A morning of shopping and mocha frappucino's later we wandered off to Trafalgar Square to visit the most iconic landmarks- the Houses of Parliament (and Big Ben), Westminster Abbey, St James's Park and Buckingham Palace. My new oxfords had rubbed my feet raw by this point so we navigated out way back to the hotel to soak them in lavender water.
That evening, we met together with our Contiki group to book in and reiterate our meeting point and time for the next morning. I packed my backpack for storage and then went for dinner with Todd and Karina while Katelyn went to meet her friend Chris, and Bec and Georgia went to the London Pub to have beers with our Contiki group.
Todd and I ventured to the London Eye after dinner, lost in Piccadilly Circus, we wandered towards where we assumed the Thames would be (using Ben as our point of reference), and arrived perfectly at closing time.
With that disappointment, we went to the pub for ale and gin, and walked back to the hotel from the Eye.
Todd went to bed and Katelyns party was pre-drinking in 3352, joining them for a cheeky jägerbomb before we parted ways, they to that gay bar and I to bed.
