On my way to Amsterdam. Nice exit row seat, lots of leg room with a friendly guy as my seat mate. A rather old 767-300 plane, no electric plugs and still showing signs of what was once an ashtray.

The American Airlines Flight is late departing San Diego due to low clouds and the use of one runway. So we are sitting and waiting on the plane. Good thing I’ve got a 3 hour layover in Philadelphia. Luggage update ... had to use the larger suitcase. The 21” was just too small.

Welcome to my blog. I am determined to go light for the next 7 weeks. My 21" suitcase and carryon will have to do. I simply can not lug around the larger suitcase. Must not forget to take a small amount of liquid detergent. I am still trying to figure out the shoe situation but other than that, I've pretty much got all my clothes laid out and ready to go into the suitcase.
