hello boys and girls,
wow life sounds pretty good at the mo, i wont drag you down with drab stories of blighty, oh exsept that i finish this tuesday. went jumping off the hoe friday but i didn'y have a wet suit like every one else so I had to do it naked however when i did the 25 FOOT JUMP i didn't land in the water propperly to cut a long story short after my almighty slap i hit the water so hard my whole arse bruised. my block mate said that the bruise on my left cheek looked a bit like jesus. any who the moral of this story is be careful on your travels also avoid nudity, it makes potentialy bad situations much much worse. other than that keep having fun. carp diem

Hi there Claire and buddies
We are all very very jealous that you are going to Noosa as it is one of our most favourite places in the world (after Waiheke island in New Zealand). Have a great time and enjoy your trip over to Fraser Island which is fascinating. Take some pics of the view from Iain and Cheryl's house to show your parents as it is spectacular, especially watching the sun come up over the island (if you get up early enough), watching the sea eagles swooping over their garden to take the kitchen scraps and seeing how the sandbanks appear and disappear in the Straits.

Thanks to Claire's mum for that timely communication - I had been..er..wandering... about the spelling coming out of Aus myself.
Claire (Yes The One Thats Travelling)
Thanks mum for being a walking dictionary. I miss you too x
Claire's Mum (Again)
Hi there, Thought i should let you know that wander is spelt with an 'a', as it seems to be a favourite word - and the other spelling means to think about something or to be in awe - both of course might be true. Anyway, glad you are in Brissy and having fun. I expect it is getting a lot warmer as you head north and a bit more humid. Keep in touch.

G'day banana benders! Did you know that's what they call Queenslanders? So great to hear how much you are enjoying the life of the rich and famous - hoping that Iain and Cheryl take you out on their yacht to complete the fantasy, as they live right on the beach (literally) and opposite Fraser island. Concerned on how you will manage to survive back here this summer slumming it with the rest of us and going punting or to the pub. Right now I am still wearing my boots and punting and the pub in summer sounds wonderful. Take care and enjoy every moment - take loads of pics - they will get you through next winter in the student digs.

Hi to you all - were you still under the influence when the last message was posted? Definitely not quite as focused - not sure why you need so many loos? Saw Sandra Friday, who was very nostalgic about all the places you are visiting, especially in Sydney, and the Manly ferry - she lived in Osborne Road! Try to use your Bartercard as much as you can. Cress has found a duck egg by the pond - currently in our airing cupboard, am not very hopeful. Lots of love xxxxxxxx P.s. to Clare's mum - glad you made contact with Aunty Rule! pps to Jo's mum - am not able to play much tennis at all at the moment.
Charley's Aunt,uncle,alex & Tommy
Hi to you all, Just watch those drinking games! You seem to be constantly on the move now and makes us seem so stationary. Everyone glad we've got another bank holiday coming up although there seems some doubt as to whether Chris will be off, (i keeep saying they are "bank" holidays but the bank doesn't listen!) Alex's orals have started and it's all downhill from now! Went to London on Sat night and saw Judi Dench in play, reminiscing a lot about Barbados & us all there together, seems a long time ago. Florrie had a "sleepover" with Echo as we were away a long time and both boys out - typically. It sounds like everyday is a bit of a party out there, is that how it feels? It certainly sounds like a lot of fun. take care and lots of love xxxx

Hello,
I love getting up on a Sunday morning and checking to see if you have added to the journal. Sounds as though you are having a great time in NSW and you are now quite close to Brisbane. I can call Audrey if you like Claire, and they may meet you in the city for a coffee if they are around. She could show you where I lived with her family for 6 months in Alice Street, overlooking the botanical gardens. I love Brisbane and Queensland is probably my fav state.
All well here - planted out my pots yesterday and hope we don't get any more frosts. Do you remember frost, Claire? Chris off on some county 10's rugby thing with dad, so the whole day of peace ahead. Only wish I could jump into the computer and spend it with all of you at the beach. I miss the beach....but not as much as I miss you! Keep being happy and having fun.

Hi guys. It all sounds just fantastic! Make the most of it.
Note sure any self-respecting Aussie guy (that's all of them I guess) would appreciate the description 'cute'. Surfers might be the exception. Perhaps you could try it on one or two - and then mention The Ashes and the Rugby World Cup? It might be wise to stand back a bit.
