That's a wonderful idea Clare's Mum! The five star rating must have come from the very erudite postings and excellent spelling...
Claire's Mum
Hi, Have you noticed how you have a 5 star rating for this journal - well done. Good to know that all has gone well with the Greyhound buses and that you have enjoyed your time together. You will have so much to share when you get home - all the others here will be bored with the stories - but at least you can share with each other. What an adventure - sometimes it is the little things or the disasters that you remember the most in years to come.
Enjoy the last few weeks - can't wait to catch up. Perhaps we could all meet in a pub for Sunday lunch, after Claire gets back mid-June ( girls and parents) as it would be good to put some faces to names. Let me know what you think....

Lovely to hear from you Claire Many thanks - keep it up - so pleased you had such a good time together on your last few days. The big news from this end is that we have 6 goslings hatch yesterday! Love from us all xxxxx

Hi girls, I thought of you yesterday as I watched the 'Best Holiday' programme; they went to a village in Fiji which looked wonderful, where they were offered a local drink called 'Cava' I think - (not the Cava I'm used to I'm sure - apparently it has an 'acquired taste!) and then someone else went to Sydney! You see, you've chosen some of the best places to visit! Enjoy! lots of love xxx

HI girls - just to reiterate Clare's Mum - enjoy your last few days together, it's very sad that you're having to split up - we shall miss not hearing about Clare and her mother, do hope they will keep posting messages to let us know how they're getting on!
Love from us all xxxxx p.s. took some lovely photos of the dogs in the bluebell woods today - nearly as colourful as coral reefs and tropical fish.

Hi girls, Just wanted to wish you all a lovely time together for your last couple of days in Aus as 3. Keep up the journal, as it really is such fun and I can access it at work. Hope Cairns is still as lovely as it was a long time ago, and that you can catch up with Lucy and Scott - especially Claire, when she is on her own. Green island is gorgeous and had a wonderful underwater observatory, so I hope you get there. Or are you getting a bit bored with island-hopping? Going boom-netting is fun too. Let us know what you're up to - well, at least the bits you can... love mum x x x

Hi girls, Lovely weather here - hot and sunny, but maybe not quite as hot as you were on Magnetic Island. Unfortunately, we couldn't be further from a white, sandy beach! Hope Cairns is fun and I'm sure you'll see some interesting places before you zap off to Fiji. Your mum came over on Wednesday evening Charley, and there's an Easter egg waiting for your return. Mike and I went to Bicester Village on Saturday (first time I've ever been!) and I got some cool sandals in L.K. Bennett to match a suit I've got. We went to Brill on the way home and Inka and Echo gave us a lovely welcome. We'd been there ½ hour when Echo started barking at me, as though I'd just arrived, or shouldn't have been there, silly girl! Hope the Greyhound bus wasn't too uncomfortable - I can't imagine the distances you're covering. Have a lovely weekend, lots of love xxxx

G'day Gals!
Sounds like you are all having fun! Doesn't it go fast? Remember every detail - it will have to sustain you when you are studying on a rainy night in Manchester in February with the three bar electric fire on!
Planning my Birfday in July, will be 21 - Claire I believe you have a Birfday around the same time? It will be so very civilised - a crazy DJ and Karaoke! Can't wait to see you and the rest of the Williams - hear you are coming to celebrate with me.
Keep having fun gals - see you in July, Claire Brenda xxx

Well thanks girls - just as I was getting over the programme last week about people dying on Fraser island from a funnel web spider or possibly a snake or maybe a dingo attack, you post a great white on the journal!
Thank goodness we have lived in Aus for 10 years and know how rare it is. Glad you survived the free booze and trampoline trip - sounded a bit messy to me.... Can't believe Jo and Charlotte go to Fiji in a week. Enjoy the last few days together. Much love mum x x x

I agree. Sounds great. Do you think we can negotiate a bulk discount for a group of oldies to decamp from Buckinghamshire? The shark doesn't look terribly welcoming though - and could we get Sky Sports?
