Week 14- Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) Day 5
We were up at a reasonable time ready for our flight, we had breakfast at the hotel then headed in a car to the airport. We can't believe we are heading back to KL already, time is flying by! Our flight back was fine, we left on time and managed to get some sleep in. It was then time for the dreaded bus into Kuala Lumpur centre, this would have been the 3rd time we have done it.
Our hostel was closer this time so it involved less walking with our rucksacks and we knew what we were doing as it was second round time. We got the train to Jalan Pasar. Our hostel seemed nice and we spent some time relaxing (and catching up on TOWIE). Early evening we took a walk to Chinatown which was situated just behind our hostel. It was full of men trying to sell us dodgy fakes and all sorts of crap! Nevertheless, we had a wonder round before heading to the food court. Chinatown is full of Chinese lanterns and lights so in the dark it was quite pretty!
We had a look round the food court trying to decide which one we were brave enough to eat from (it wasn't the cleanest of places). We chose an all you can eat type at the entrance. The food we wanted had to be cooked up fresh so that was a good sign, especially as it took them forever! I had sweet and sour chicken and Gem had lemon chicken. It was actually a really nice meal and such big portions. We ordered a plate of vegetables to share too which I think sent us over edge. The meal was really cheap, although, we still think we got ripped off because the locals seemed to be paying even less!
We chilled out in the communal area for a bit before heading up to bed. Just as we started to fall asleep an Asian couple turned up in the dorm and weren't the quietest of people... We could tell it was going to be one of them nights!
