Week 13- Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur) Day 3
Off to Kuala Lumpur... Goodbye Asia! So today we were up at 5am ready for the airport. We had a horrendous nights sleep to the point I'm unsure if we even slept as we were in a dorm with a group of lads who had just arrived.. They were acting like the bloody inbetweeners. They went on a night out but kept coming back to the room every hour shouting at each other. When we woke up at 5am they were all passed out and I was tempted to take my flip flop off and hit them round their faces haha as they clearly thought they were funny during the night.
The flight was fine and only took about an hour, I think we both had a bit of a doze! Gemma had been organised and worked out how we got to our hostel via public transport so we got a bus from the airport to KL centre and then the monorail from KL centre to Bukit Bingting station, our hostel was right next to the station. It cost us about £2.50 each and took about an hour and a half! It was quite fun adventuring on the monorail and it saved us loads of money!
First things first we were starving and we knew Malaysia did Nandos... we found out there was one just down the road from us. We were so excited we practically skipped there! It was so good but not as good as the English Nandos. Our hostel was in the middle of 3 massive shopping centres so we decided to hit the shops.. This was like torture. They had all the big shops like H&M and we literally had to drag ourselves out the shops so we didn't spend any money we don't have!
We then headed back to our hostel for a chill out because we were exhausted from our early start and night before. Our hostel was pretty cool, we were in a mixed dorm but everyone seemed really nice. We got the map of KL out and planned what we were going to do tomorrow. We then had showers and headed back out to see KL in the dark. It was so cool and had lots going on. They even have speakers playing music in the pavements which we loved. I reckon the world would be a better place if all countries did his and we could dance away between places!
We went to the food market which sold lots of fresh seafood but we were still quite full from our Nandos so we didn't have any of it. We had a bit more of a wonder around the area (and had another look in H&M) then went back to our hostel where we managed to get TOWIM on my ipad.. This was very exciting times for us.
