Rob went out early to dive to see bull sharks, which was incredible (see videos). I couldn't dive because of my arms, so instead I went on a medicine walk in the morning learning about local medicines the islanders use, as the hospital is much too far! Today we spent most of the day chilling out at Octopus resort before the flyer came to take us to our next island, Kuata. I did some basket weaving with palm branches with a local islander who works at the resort to pass the time, it was really interesting and they weren't as hard as they looked. It rained again in the night and unfortunately was cloudy for a lot of the day, although that suited me as I could sit in the sun without burning to a crisp!We spent the morning reading and walking up to the summit of the island, then after lunch we went on a visit to the local village on the other side of the island, where many of the workers lived. There was torrential rain all night and when we got up the next morning it was still raining. Fortunately however it brightened up quite quickly, and we spent much of the day just sat on the beach. We did however also get a two person kayak to sail around the beach and look at the coral. I couldn't really do that because of my arms, so lucky Rob got to do all the paddling! After breakfast we went over to the spa to enjoy our complimentary couple full body massage. It lasted for an hour and was lovely!
