Today we spent most of the day chilling out at Octopus resort before the flyer came to take us to our next island, Kuata. I did some basket weaving with palm branches with a local islander who works at the resort to pass the time, it was really interesting and they weren't as hard as they looked.
Later we got the flyer over to Barefoot Kuata, where after being given our normal welcome song on arrival we went to our room - a tent! It was really nice though, with amazing views straight out on to the sea (which also kept the tent cool as gusts of ocean winds blew in).
That evening at dinner we happened to bump into Rachel Caveney, as you do on a desert island! It was nice to talk to someone from home and after dinner we played cards with some Swedish guys for a while. We also took part (it wasn't optional) in a sun dance with everyone doing Fijian dancing - it turned out to be a Fijian Macarena, so not very authentic! It was funny though and as always finished with the Fiji conga!
