After the last two days of not much sleep and lots of tourism, we had the day off and went to the beach! There was a man made pool from ocean water between some rocks that we went to and spent the day there. Later in the evening we had dinner and went to see a traditional rapanui show. We had hired a car the night before to do a tour of the island, and so got up early that morning to go to the opposite side of the island to see sunrise. This was the part I'd been most excited for - Easter Island!!!We got a really early flight over, and because of the time difference as well ended up there just before lunch. We wanted to make the most of it so we got a stamp in our passport (optional at the post office). Not much to report about today, we literally just flew from Montevideo to Santiago, then spent the afternoon stocking up on food for Easter island for the VERY early flight the next morning. Everything on Easter island is sent over from the mainland which makes it quite expensive, so we were forewarned to buy some food and bring it with us!

On the second day of Rob's tour for us, we started by heading out to the shopping centre for another ill fated attempt to buy a waterproof cover for our bags (at some point our luck is going to run out on that).
