Ok so yesterday we got to Scottsdale AZ... Basically we just drove like 6 hours to get there... It is SO hot but awesome!!! Not much happened due to the massive drive.... We grabbed some dinner at limelight which is a new restaurant and got rides in golf carts there. We were supposed to walk but It was so hot.... I had a mushroom burger it was epic..... dear offexploring... today i went to the zoo. there were animals there. they were cute but it was awful. some of them were pacing back and forth in their enclosures :( but apart from that San Diego zoo is pretty good if you like zoo's i guess... massively huge and SO much walking which is awesome, helps me burn of the ten tonne of cheese i have eaten. BLURGH. so that took most of the day.. after that we went to san diego beach whatever that was even called. ...

So today was the first day of Contiki... We left LA and made our way to San Diego. First stop was Balboa park...here is a super awesome history lesson for you..... The land for the park was purchased or whatever in 1862.... But they only started making it look cool in 1892 by adding trees and flowers and stuff.... The park was then due to become host of the first world fair in 1915 which also has something to do with the panama canal being completed but whatev...

so!!! Today was pretty uneventful... Our flight left an hour late which was kinda annoying... They also changed the gate that we left from on the mel-syd flight... I was waiting at the gate for ages and it was the wrong damn one! Then I realized and pretty much had a heart attack but it's all good.. Ten tonne of other people did the same thing! Ok so... it's day one, well i guess it is... i would barely call flying in to melbourne and sitting in a hotel travelling but its a start i guess...
