Today is an exciting day. It was 40 years ago in the United Methodist Church our American Aldersgate had its first conference and ten years ago our relationship with the English began. I am excited to see where Aldersgate UK will be in 40 years as Europe is a very fertile ground for ministry.
On Saturday morning we had breakfast then worship and we heard Rev. Dr Frank Billman speak about the supernatural thread in Methodism. We as Methodists have changed much since the time of John Wesley. We had prayer ministry after the morning session and it was a special time of being in God's presence. Everyone else went to lunch but I went to the "Coach" room to prepare the video and audio for Lynn and I to have the afternoon sessions for the youth that were here. We did have a good two sessions as Lynn presented the first session on How God Loves you and who we are in Christ. I had the second session about who God has created us to be and how he empowers each of us with His gifts to accomplish ministry in His name. The afternoon sessions went really well and I love doing ministry with my wife and we complement each other so well in ministry. Afterwards some of the youth and I talked until supper about God, Who God is and where do we see God in our everyday life and when we do see Him what does that look like. Lynn actually went for a walk between our sessions and supper and she was blessed with the opportunity to do prayer ministry with someone.
Supper was good as all of our meals have been times of great fellowship. The session after supper was presented by Frank Billman and it was about "Being Revival where you are" He talked about what revival was and the definition of revival was to bring something back from the dead. We don't need to wait until the church needs a defibrillator to resuscitate the church we need to make sure it remains healthy and vibrant all the time. We need for us as Christians to have a habitation of God's spirit in our lives and the life of our church and not just an occasional visitation of God's Spirit. I am still processing how God is calling Lynn and I but, we are excited for the adventure we are on with Tabernacle and West Chapel UMC. We had prayer tunnel ministry afterwards and everyone was blessed again by Gods presence. The prayer tunnel lasted for close to an hour as the prayer team prayed for each person as they passed slowly through the tunnel created by the prayer teams. It was a very special time of intimate worship and prayer. Everyone then went on to bed as it was getting late. I did manage to go to sleep by midnight but have have reawakened at 5 so I am catching up on my blog. I am trying to figure out how to create a blog on the internet but I just have not had time - I should have had done this before I left - especially since I preached on journaling before Lynn and I left to come to England. I have been keeping up with everything so I can share with our congregations and friends at home.

David Winstanley The prayer tunnel was good, but you should have said it "only" lasted an hour. In Estonia we have had them last 3 or 4 hours!!!!!
