Hey
07/09/10 Back in the good old USA,We hired a car and headed down to Key West at the end of a 106 mile necklace of tiny islands linked together by bridges and the southern most point of United States, it's a real laid back arty Bohemian place and a water sport Mecca , Beautiful wooden houses with rap around veranda's from the turn of the last century, the home of Earnest Hemmingway, loads of 6 toed cats (spooky) and Key lime pie. After 3 days we changed to Key Largo for the weekend, Home of Bogart's African queen boat and some great dive sites of which we took advantage, Sitting at the jetty one evening we had the pleasure of seeing 4 Manatee's swimming close by as we waited for the sun set over the gulf.
!3/09/10 Heading north we stopped at the Everglades, Did the whole alligator thing, Oonagh crossed an air boat ride off her wish list, 1 hour of whizzing through the Everglades, sharp turns,360,s, getting wet and having loads of fun. Moving on we drove through the outskirts of Miami making our way up the Atlantic coast passing really luxurious properties peppered along the coast with multi-million dollar yachts moored in the back yards (Its so decadent, and what we see on TV)
15/09/10 Kissimmee, The Magic kingdom, Disneyland another chance to be childish for a day, We managed to fit it all in, The beauty of coming at this time of year is there are no crowds or queues (Still half of Manchester UK are here though), So we did the lot, All the rides, Watched the parades and had our photos taken with the characters. With accommodation so cheap at $25 PN we stayed on for Sea world theme park the following day and what a Brilliant day, some of the best shows I have seen, At the awesome Dolphin performance some of the crowd were visibly moved to tears, I made Oonagh wear her hair in a pony tail for the Killer whales but they ignored her, A day trip I would highly recommend.
Changing time zones again we moved back into America's central time for Florida's Redneck Rivera from Pensacola to Dixie county along the gulf coast, Couldn't understand a dog gone cotton picking ya'll have a fabulous day now word they were saying, White sands and really nice Oonagh said she could see her self here. (I think she see's her self as some kind of Daisy duke)
22/09/10 We made our way to Anna Marie island home of Oonagh's Aunt Maureen and Uncle Tim, We spent a lovely day with them at their wonderful beach side home, also having the special treat of not staying in motel accommodation, It was great to see them, They gave us the tour of the island and a lovely dinner, Its another gorgeous area of Florida and some of the housing is affordable ??????
23/09/10 Our final day in Florida. We changed sides and moved across to the Atlantic coast again with a visit to Daytona beach. We did the tourist bit, Oonagh tore up the beach, Its not our car!! With the rain starting we left florida and moved up to Georgia .
Ya'll have a Fabulous day , the Chaffers

"Auntie"Maureen It was great to see you guys! We were so glad that you stopped by. I must say your blogs are getting quite professional these days - I can see The Book taking shape. How wonderful to see EVERYTHING you dreamed of! I'm somewhat envious that in our era we could not have dreamt of such an adventure! But that's life; we did the best we could, and we've truly appreciated your sharing it all with us. Keep up the good work! Such a fabulous free-spirited pair of adventurers! We wish you continuing happy travels and look forward to your next blog. Love you both. :)XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX
Auntie Margaret Another fabulous chapter I second Aunt Maureen Lyons comments, you are a natural storyteller combined with wit which would make a great book! Lots of love to both of you, take care XXX
