Preston kicked off and knocked the ball about nicely but Cestria were soon in their stride and quickly went 1-0 up with a superb flighted goal from Zoe Ness. Goals followed from Rosie Young and a Vic Linsley header. Then before half time we were awarded a stonewall penalty after Megan Beel was brought down in the box which Zoe converted. In fact we should have had another penalty straight after which wasn't given.

To be honest we expected a few more goals in the second half which didn't happen. Partly down to our scrappy play and partly down to a tremendous display by PNE who worked their socks off and deserved their goal. In fact they should have had another after the ref blew for offside with no flag from the linesman. We had our chances with Meg Lawson hitting the inside of the post with a placed shot and Rosie going close after being put through.
