Blackpool u16 v Cestria u16
Today we travelled to Fleetwood to play Blackpool u16 in the West Lancashire league. Blackpool started the game great with some good passing and opened the scoring in the first 5 minutes after a great save from Amy fell at the feet of the oncoming forward who finished in style.
In difficult conditions the girls tried to get their passing game going through the puddles and soon equalised through jess who slid the ball over the line. Another soon followed with a bullet header by Vic from a Meg corner.
Megan Beel added a 3rd after a cracking shot from Rosie which stung the gk's hands into dropping it for Megan to tap in. Zoe scored a beauty for the 4th and we went in at half time 4-1 up with Blackpool still plugging away.

The second half started with Blackpool still battling gamely with the number 8 in particular having an outstanding game along with the goalkeeper in difficult goalkeeping conditions. Rosie added the 5th after a great through ball from Meg following up with another to make it 6th. Jess rounded off the scoring with the 7th after a good header from Meg found her and she proceeded to lob the gk from 20 yards. A great finish.
Well done to Blackpool for providing good opposition and good luck for the season.
