Cestria Galaxy v Mersey
Today saw us play our good friends from Liverpool, Mersey Girls. Always a good, hard-fought game played in the right manner.
We soon got into our stride playing some good stuff considering the surface wasn't the best. Mersey defended resolutely till Rosie Mac broke down the left and finished strongly into the keepers left corner. A 2nd goal followed after a neat move involving Gabby, briggsy Rosie mac with Zoe finishing powerfully from the left hand side.

The second half kicked off and became a bit scrappy after 2 big stoppages when a Mersey player was injured followed by a clash of heads involving Lauren Jordison who went to hospital with a bandage on her head. A lot of shuffling of the team ensued with Lauren Cross taking over in goal, doing a sterling job. The game was petering out after this until Beth Jennings scored after a great shout and header from Beth Hepples corner. Megan Beel scored the 4th after pouncing on the ball in the box after a slip from the keeper.
