Today saw us take on the other unbeaten team in our group from Sweden, Torslanda IK. They had won 6-0 and 4-0 so we knew we'd be in for a tough game. The second day of the tournament saw us take on Swedish team Lunds BoiS in our second game. After yesterday's magic 9-0 performance this one was a bit more low key and not as focused to be honest. Comfortable in defence although the opposition did get through a couple of times without success. This morning saw us take on Almhults IF in our first group game at the Gothia Cup. The girls were itching to get out of the traps and get started and they didn't disappoint! They started like a train and were ahead through Maddie with a typical poachers finish. Goals followed from Jess 2, having a stormer, a Zoe penalty after some Beth trickery resulted in a trip, Maddie and Zoe adding another and Rosie capping a memorable debut with a goal with her first touch....

Landed! Good first day, registered all the girls and they're all raring to go tomorrow for their first game. Been speaking to the organisers and they reckon they have national teams here, as if it wasn't hard enough! Nice Italian tonight, loaded the girls with pasta for tomorrow's early start. Downstairs for 7:30 then onto tram after breakfast for 15 minute ride to Kviberg for Almults IF game. Ps 3 halfs and 2 cokes £15! ;-)
