I'm picturing you all warm and toasty...maybe that sunburn has turned to tan? We're still under a blanket of snow. It's about 0 degrees.

The Bentley's flew up to join us for the holiday...it's wonderful to have them here. We're simply eating, reading, napping and eating again. I sense us going into hibernation mode shortly.

I loved your blog update but be very happy for those chilly days because that's all you'll have to experience of winter. We are getting another blizzard blast this a.m. and the temperatures have been hovering around 10-20 degrees. It sounds like you will have a good Christmas even with work. We will all be together on Christmas eve thinking about you and missing you a lot.

Yes! There's my flexible and resourceful granddaughter! Will we still be able to get in touch with you do you think? I'm picturing a little coat hanger of an antenna sticking out of the top of a tent on the beach. Seriously though, I'm glad you've developed a new plan for yourself. Don't let one bad experience get you down. Look at all the life experience you have had that this interviewer will never have. The right job hasn't come along yet. Maybe you could look into working in one of the bookstores. We all know that you will do a good job and learn fast and really can do anything you set out to do, you just need to be given a chance. It seems to me that the bistro lost a chance at a very good employee.

Keep your chin up, there is something better around the corner.

I'm sorry your interview didn't go well (ok was actually quite crappy). I just know the right postion will present itself soon. The Bisto simply isn't a good fit (and the interviewer doesn't sound like a good boss either). Nonetheless, disapointing and I know it made you feel sad but not getting it is no reflection on you personally. Remember, you're brave and courageous. This is just a bump in your new road, not a roadblock.

So, books? Any recomendations? Remember when we tried to read THAT book one summer. I don't think either of us finished it.
